The swatters strike again. Just when we thought it was already getting old for a while.
On April 10, Ryan Seacrest, 38-year-old American Idol TV show host joined victim of the swatting movement among dozens of celeb victims that include Justin Timberlake, Simon Cowell, Kim Kardashian, Clint Eastwood, Chris Brown, Selena Gomez, P. Diddy (just last week), Ashton Kutcher (whose swat was reported to have cost his city $10,000 on taxpayer dosh), and recently, Russell Brand.
Ryan Seacrest was Reported a Victim of “Swatting”
Seacrest’s harassment occurred the same day he interviewed Brand in his Los Angeles morning radio show regarding his home on Monday.
“Swatting” if not all know, is a prank pertaining to someone calling 911 when in fact there is no actual fatality in order to alert the attention of a SWAT team.
The prankster on Wednesday according to sources claimed that inside his home, there were guys carrying rifles who looking like mobsters that fired inside Seacrest’s $39 million Beverly Hills mansion he recently bought from friend and host, Ellen DeGenres.
Police officers were already stationed at 3:30 p.m. when the news broke out.
A spokesperson said they arrived at 2:40 p.m. only to find no armed men were even there. After reassuring Seacrest and his team, they then left the place as secured.
Brand laughingly admitted on Seacrest’s interview that if were a teenager again; he would probably do some swatting himself.
Brand wasn’t at home when police arrived, and joked how the prank did not bother him at all – maybe just a little. He claims he was not even aware it happened, and he still doesn’t know what a swatting attack really is.
He added that if this is how unnoticeable swatting has become, then he’s ready for battle.
He cracked the show up some more describing that there are always officers and helicopters trooping his house regardless of the matter because he has a lot of other activities; he couldn’t possibly suspect any more additions to the line.

True enough, the swatters thought it would be the laugh of the century to victimize Seacrest’s peaceful home.
A few local police organizations have started to be more alert and cautious to calls that sound distrustful. The expanding awareness is a good thing – but again, we don’t want to be in a setting where an actual emergency that sounds like a SWAT situation is not taken to action immediately.
Other swat victims include Brian Krebs, Aaron Walker, Paris Hilton, Mike Stack, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Erick Erickson, and Sean Combs.
Ryan Seacrest is the most recent victim of this childish hoax, swatting. Which celebrity in your opinion is the next target?
Let’s put a stop to this once and for all.
